Duplicate of detail from one of the 14 windows which Georg Meistermann designed for the Catholic parish church of St. Charles Borromeo in Cologne in 1957/58. The windows were produced by the glass workshop W. Deric, Düsseldorf-Kaiserwerth from 1958-60. There are isolated duplicates of the head details of the saints depicted in the window cycle (cf. Wilhelmus 60.9, p. 366). Saint Lawrence is deoicted at the moment of his martyrdom, the burning. He was included in the cycle as the patron saint of the priest Lorenz Hochmann, who had given the impetus for the glazing.
