The square body with rectangular handles with keyfret pattern in openwork resting on four feet of a large bulbous form, the body decorated to two sides with a large phoenix with spread out wings on an archaistic patterned ground. Cast mark to the base Dai Nihon Bunse nen Seimin shu.
