A Sinotibetan gilt bronze figure of Vajrasattva. 19th/20th century

The Dharmakaya buddha is sitting in padmasana on a double lotus throne, in the right (male) hand he holds the vajra in front of the chest, the left (female) hand rests on the thigh and holds the ghanta. His dhoti lies in tight folds, the hem forming a triple fan shape on the throne. He wears a tiara and magnificent jewellery. Blue cult color in the hair. The cover plate of the closed throne base is decorated with engraved visvavajra (double vajra),
