A Flemish carved wood figure of a Pope saint, first half 16th century

Carved three-quarters in the round, the reverse slightly flattened. Figure of a Pope with a tiara, staff and open book standing in contrapposto, designed for a frontal viewpoint.
The lower part of the staff presumably replaced. Wear and insect damage with minor losses. Height 56 cm.
