In her series "Fourth," comprising a total of 26 works, Tracey Moffatt dedicates herself monothematically to the group of fourth-place finishers in the various athletic disciplines at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. The photographs were taken during the television broadcast of the games on the home screen and were digitally manipulated by the artist, highlighting the sad protagonists, who just missed out on a medal, in colour.
