A cloisonné enamel double gourd vase. 19th century

Around the waist a moulded ribbon tied into a bow, and to the upper and lower part four medallions with lion-dogs in relief, the body covered entirely with mille-fleur in various colours. A cast apocryphal Qianlong four-character mark to the base and a long dedicatoty inscription in German: (To) Mr. Eugen Diesel in memory of his visit to my house / Magokichi Yamaoka, director of Yanmar Diesel engine Co., Ltd., Osaka, Japan 17 September 1954.
