A copper alloy figure of Vajravarahi. Tibet, 14th-16th century

The dakini and tantric deity stands in capasthana (arched posture) with the left leg and the right leg drawn up on a human body above a lotus base, with her right hand holding the kartrika (chopper knife) and her left supporting the blood-filled kapala (skull bowl). Behind her tiara the boar's head emerging from the right side of her head. The throne base sealed with a copper plate.
