An etagère from this dinner service was consigned by the descendants of Friedrich Schulz to Lempertz Berlin auction 1105 on 21st April 2018, as lot 266.

According to credible family lore, Duke Wilhelm of Brunswick (1806 - 84) presented his Minister of State, Friedrich Schulz (1795 - 1864), who had been appointed to take up his reign, with a magnificently decorated dinner service for 24 persons in around 1846, presumably in connection with him receiving the Grand Cross of the Order of Henry the Lion.
