A Berlin silver plate made for Prince William and Princess Augusta of Prussia

Round, scalloped plate, the broad border engraved with the Prussian eagle and the collar of the Order of the Black Eagle, the moulded rim decorated with vine leaves and ribbons. Engraved with the inventory number "No. 99" and a small intital A beneath the Prussian crown on the underside. D 26.8 cm, weight 606 g.
Marks of Johann George Hossauer, around 1829.

This plate belonged to the dinner service presented on occasion of the wedding of Prince Wilhelm of Prussia to Princess Augusta Marie Luise of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach, on 11th June 1829.
