A silver pomander in the form of a book

Designed as a miniature book with clasps. The cover and back engraved with acanthus. Containing two drawers, each separated into four compartments. With a small bail. The lid engraved with owner's monogram "MvH". Minor remnants of gilding. H 1; L 3; W 2.2 cm, weight 19 g.
Unmarked save for a Dutch tax stamp from 1807, attributed to Southern Germany, 17th C.
