The completely newly developed A. Lange & Söhne Datograph, first presented in 1999, is considered by collectors to be one of the most finely crafted and beautiful chronograph wristwatches ever made by a manufacturer. The in-house flyback chronograph calibre L951.1, developed especially for this purpose, was a minor sensation when it was presented at Baselworld 1999. At that time, no other renowned watch company offered such a fine and completely self-manufactured chronograph calibre with a manual winding movement.

The built-in flyback function allows a running time measurement to be interrupted and immediately restarted at the touch of a button. It combines the three steps of the classic "stop", "reset" and "restart" into one. The chronograph measures operations lasting up to 30 minutes with the incredible accuracy of a fifth of a second. The jumping minute counter enables precise reading of the recorded time.

This model is the second version, manufactured after 2005, of the model introduced in 1999. This can be recognised by the inscription "Meters" instead of "Meter" on the tachymeter scale.

The present watch, which is offered as a complete original set with outer box, case, microfibre cloth, book on the watch with warranty card and instruction manual, is in excellent condition.
