A Baltic amber and ivory table crucifix

On a semi-octagonal plinth with a skull. The cross decorated with acanthus relief, a mascaron and a miniature bust of Mary Magdalene beneath the Corpus Christi, crucified with three nails. The left beam of the cross with a small bust of Mary, the right with St. John, the INRI plaque and the dove of the Holy Spirit above. With remnants of gilding. A restored breakage to the centre of the cross beam, some glued repairs, halo and baluster feet replaced. H 25, W 11 cm.
