Oval portraits of the Emperors in laurel wreaths facing right. Inscribed in ink (?) on the reverse II and XII. H with gilt copper frames c. 6 cm.
Germany, 17th C.

These depictions are based on engravings by Marcantonio Raimondi (around 1480 - before 1534) from the series of the twelve Caesars, which was published in the first quarter of the 16th century.
