A bronze eagle, presumably Meuse region, 14th-15th century

Cast and engraved bronze, the front of the eagle with presumably later gilding. Small model of an eagle with outstretched wings, designed in a similar manner to a lectern. With drilled holes on the back, presumably for a small book stand.
The eagle's right talon lost, a small breakage to the underside. Presumably later attached to a tapering bronze plinth. Height 12.5 cm (with socle).
