Flemish 18th century

An 18th century Flemish terracotta figure of Flora

Worked three-quarters in the round, the reverse flattened and only summarily worked, brownish patina. Female figure standing in contrapposto on an angular plinth, dressed in a high-waisted gown and a cloak draped around her body. The flowers in her right hand and hair allow the figure to be identified as a personification of Flora.
With very minor wear. Height 66 cm.
