A dinner plate from the service for Crown Prince Friedrich Wilhelm

Model no. 1113. Decorated with a central rosette surrounded by rose tendrils and four moths in flight. With an oak leaf border. Blue sceptre mark, blue enamel dash, painter's and impressed marks. D 24.3 cm.
Around 1793.

On the occasion of his marriage to Luise von Mecklenburg-Strelitz on 24 December 1794, Crown Prince Frederick William received a service "with a garland rosette and small insects together with a green oak leaf wreath around the rim", paradigmatic for the Neoclassical style of KPM under King Frederick William II, this decor paved the way for the production of the following years.
