ANNUNCIATION TWO SCENES FROM THE LIFE OF SAINT PETER

Es handelt sich hier um die später gespalteten Außen- (Verkündigung) und Innenseiten (Petrusszenen) zweier ehemals beidseitig bemalter Altarflügel. Die Zuschreibung geht auf Stange zurück. Den Namen des Meisters leitet Stange von einem Marienalter aus der Dinkelsbühler Spitalkirche ab (heute Schlossgalerie Füssen und Germanisches Nationalmuseum Nürnberg). Er beschreibt ihn als einen spätgotischen Manieristen, der vielleicht in Augsburg gelernt hat und seine Werkstatt wohl in Dinkelsbühl führte.
