Franz Lazi - biography

Franz Lazi was the son of the photographer Adolf Lazi, and was trained by his father in his studio in Stuttgart. After some time as a prisoner of war, Lazi returned to Stuttgart and opened a studio for advertising and industry photography. In this time he also created several documentary images of Germany after the war. Alongside his other occupations, Lazi also worked as a documentary and advertising cameraman and was a founding member of the BFF (Federal Association of Freelance Photographers and Filmmakers).
