Relief, Holz, ein Finger verloren

A carved wood figure of Saint Dorothea, probably Augsburg, circa 1500, with small remains of old polychromy. Flat and finely executed silhouetted relief. The saint with a corolla is depicted as a three-quarter figure, turning to the right and holding her hands in prayer. The edge of her garment falling over an even base that is inscribed "A(...)TA" on the left side.
Small finger of her right hand missing. Minimal wear. Height 30,5 cm.
