THE VIRGIN ENTHRONED

Wood, remains of polychromy, hands lost, plinth with additions.
Height 53 cm.

Wood carved in the round, the reverse of the throne flattened, remains of partial polychromy. The composition with the Virgin enthroned, on her left knee stands the infant Christ, naked, held against her side. Head and hands of Christ and the right hand of the Virgin lost, side ends of the plinth replaced, reverse with losses due to worm damage. Height 53 cm.
