A STANDING SHEPHERD

Oak carved three-quarters in the round, reverse flattened, remains of polychromy. Designed as a ground plinth, the shepherd with staff and horn standing in contrapposto, the left foot projecting, with four sheep. Dressed in boots and a belted garment, the hood pulled down, from his belt hang bag and a knife sheath. The sculpture is distinguished by its careful and detailed execution.
Few fine vertical cracks, minor wear. Crosier probably replaced. Height 92 cm.
