Softwood, painted in oils to three sides, patinated iron mountings. Additional carved decor to the interior. A painted envelope with a Florentine address to the writing surface. Slight retouches to the painting. H 187.5, W 99.5, D 45 cm.
Probably Florence, late 18th / 1st half 19th C.
