A gilt bronze figure of a standing Bodhisattva. Tibet. 18th century

A Tibetan gilt bronze figure of a Bodhisattva, standing in slight tribhanga on a separately cast lotus base, the hands in vitarka- and varadamudra, wearing a dhoti with a draped scarf, falling along his legs. He is bejewelled and his hair combed into a chignon and secured with a tiara. Remains of blue colour. Base sealed. 18th century.
