An Augsburg silver gilt columbine cup

Designed as a waisted gadrooned cuppa above a cast baluster-form shaft resting on a correspondingly gadrooned foot. The finial formed as a figure of a Roman soldier. H 38.5 cm, weight 593 g.
Marks of Andreas I Gilg, 1616 - 20.
