A soft-paste vase. Early 18th century

A finely potted soft-paste vase of elongated pear form rising from a short splayed foot to an elegant neck set below a flaring mouth, flanked by elephant's head handles with trunks curved in to support the loose rings, applied overall with a creamy glaze with an irregular grey crackle. Restored. Early 18th century.
