A blanc-de-Chine figure of Damo, modelled seated with one knee raised, holding a scroll in his left hand, the body clad in flowing robes with a hood covering his shaven head, his stoic face with typical bushy facial hair, with a single shoe at his side, all on a rockwork plinth and covered with a bluish-white glaze. He Chaozong impressed seal mark to the reverse. Small chips and firing cracks. Dehua. 17th/18th century.
