Johann Georg Rosenbeg was a well-known theatre scenery and decorative painter in Frederician Berlin. Today, his name is generally brought into connection with his etched vedutas of Berlin, which were published in an opulently bound album entitled "Recueil des Prospects le plus beaux et les plus intéressants de Berlin". They are among the most well-known views of the city recorded during the reign of Frederick the Great.
