H 25.5 cm, weight 737 g.

Hermann Neupert II came from a family of goldsmiths living in North/East Friesland. He worked in Berlin from ca. 1762 - 1773, where Frederick II commissioned him to complete the set of dining silver begun by Christian Lieberkühn in 1746/47. The present jug displays considerable stylistic similarity to a set of candlesticks made for the Prussian King by Neupert in 1764 which are today located in Huis Doorn in the Netherlands.
