A large carved red lacquer vase. 18th/19th century

A large carved red lacquer vase of quatrefoil section and with a splayed base, each lobe of the main body carved with a panel enclosing a scene of figures attended by acolytes in a mountainous landscape setting, amidst a lotus scroll pattern. The neck and the foot decorated with a band of upright cicada lappets and a key-fret band. Chips. 18th/19th century. Stand and glass cover.
