Swabian School late 15th century

The Adoration of the Magi

Oil on panel. 95 x 56 cm.

This panel originates from a large altarpiece and has been reduced to the lower edge. It shows Caspar kneeling and Melchior standing before ruins before an embossed gold ground. The reverse of the panel bears a later depiction of Saint Andrew with some abrasion.
