A pair of ormolu mounted Berlin KPM porcelain candelabra from the "hochzeitszug"

The shafts designed as date palms issuing six branches, in the crown of each tree sit a boy and a girl eating the fruits. The gilding to each of the bases differs marginally. Blue sceptre mark, red imperial orb mark. The piece with the boy marked with an iron cross and year letter O for 1914, that with the girl with year letter N 1913. H 59 and 60 cm.

Amberg's famous wedding procession forms one of the high points of jugendstil figural porcelain. Alongside the 20 figures, the set also comprised jardinieres, fruit bowls and a pair of candlesticks, and it was intended to be modelled in silver to decorate the wedding table of Crown prince William and Cecile of Mecklenburg. Due to the high quality of the designs, KPM to purchased them and produced them in porcelain in 1908 and 1910.
