A probably German late 17th century carved ivory figure of Saint Sebastian

The figure and tree both carved in the round. A finely carved depiction of the saint dressed in a perizonium, shown suffering his martyrdom bound to a tree by his hands and feet.
The arrows and parts of the rope lacking, the raised right arm reattached. Slightly yellowed. Height 17 cm.
