A small Goan ivory figure of the good shepherd, 17th - 18th century

Carved in the round and partially freestanding. With remains of original polychromy. This small depiction of the good shepherd using the same compositional scheme as the large version in lot 1484, but here the rocky base is decorated with shrubs and five sheep.
With wear and minimal losses. Yellowed. Loosely mounted to a wooden plinth. Height 7.5 cm (without plinth).
