Leng Hong was born in Shanghai in 1955 and graduated from the Shanghai Theatre Academy (Department of Fine Arts) in 1978 and worked as a professor at the Chinese Painting Institute of Shanghai between 1978 and 1986. In 1986 he moved to France and Canada (Montreal) and due to his new inspirations started to develop a synthesis between Western and traditional Chinese art. He exhibited in galleries and museums in China, Asia, the Americas and Europe. He currently teaches as a professor at the Art Academy in Shanghai.
