An époque Empire ormolu pendulum clock with Cupid and Psyche

14-day movement with anchor escapement, thread suspension and half-hourly striking to a bell. The dial signed to the lower edge "Hemon", the plate stamped "HEMON". Minor soldered repairs to both back feet. H 76, W 49, D 22 cm.
Paris, 1st quarter 19th C.; after a model by Claude Michallon, Paris ca. 1814; the clockmaker Claude Hémon recorded in Paris on the rue Saint Martin until 1820.
