A late 16th century North Italian cast and patinated bronze inkwell

The bulbous gadrooned inkwell supported by three separately cast sphinx models. The finial of the finely worked piece designed as a figure of Flora with a cornucopia and flower crown.
Minimal wear. Height 18.5 cm.
