A 14k red gold and diamond cross pendant formerly belonging to the actress Henny Porten

Latin cross fully set with 122 cushion- and old-cut diamonds (in total ca. 11 ct, L/M, mostly vs). Centre stone ca. 0,90 ct (K/L,vvs). Includes an original autographed photo and a photo which shows Henny wearing the pendant. 8.5 x 5.2 cm. Weight 21.3 g.

Henny Frieda Ulricke Porten (Magdeburg 1890 - Berlin 1960) was the daughter of the opera singer and film director Franz Porten. Alongside Asta Nielsen she was one of the greatest stars of the German silent movie screen.
