The motif on this cup derives from a copperplate engraving by Friedrich Weber from 1810 depicting Emichsburg palace, part of the English complex in the gardens of the Royal Württemberg residence of Ludwigsburg. The complex was created between 1802 and 1804 after designs by Thouret over an old quarry.
