A Neoclassical grandfather clock

Mahogany veneer over softwood, finely engraved tin dial. Day-running with hourly striking to a bell, quarter-hourly striking to a musical cylinder mechanism with a choice of six songs. The song displayed over the XII above a subsidiary second, date aperture above the VI. Signed to the dial: Chater & Sons, London. Shrinkage cracks to the veneer, some veneer elements and the spheres lacking, the gallery slightly dented. H 241.5, W 63.5, D 36 cm.
The case presumably Scandinavian, 2nd half 18th C.
