A two-flame ormolu candlestick with the Savoyen coat-of-arms

The oval base applied with the arms of the House of Savoy and monogrammed "GM" to the opposite. Wear to the gilding of the base. H 27 cm.
Presumably Paris or Northern Italy, late 18th C.

The candlestick may have been produced for Maria Giuseppina Luigia of Savoy (Turin 1753 - 1810 Hartwell House near Oxford), who married Stanislas Xavier de Provence, the grandson of Louis XV, on 14th May 1771.
