A charming Tibetan bronze figure of Jambhala. Pala style, 13th/14th century

A figure of the yellow form of Jambhala, seated in the attitude of ease on a lotus pedestal and resting the left foot on a vase, holding his attributes, the lemon-fruit and the jewel-spewing mongoose in his hands, he is adorned with beaded ornaments and a three-leaved crown. The face with remains of cold gilt. Base damaged and open.
