A 14k gold and diamond tie pin

Step-cut diamond (ca. 1.5 ct, tinted, si) in a repoussé setting with rocaille decor and a small rose-cut diamond. Later mounted as a tie pin. Head: H 2.2 cm. Pin: H 6.6 cm. Weight 4.2 g.
2nd half 19th C.

According to family tradition, the piece was given by King George V of Hannover to Friedrich Georg Culemann (1811 - 1886) in the 1860s as thanks for his services.
