Literature

Cf. a small barrel faucet with a ram's head spout from Nuremberg, from the mid-16th century, formerly the Figdor Collection, now in the Kunstgewerbemuseum Berlin (in: Pechstein, Bronzen und Plaketten, Berlin 1968, no. 17).
This kind of stylised animal head can also be found in vessels generally localised to Nuremberg (cf.: Mende, Die mittelalterlichen Bronzen im Germanischen Nationalmuseum, Nuremberg 2013, no. 109).
