A presuambly Flemish carved boxwood relief of Lot and the Angels, dated 1645

With remains of former polychromy to the left side. This fine high relief, dated 1645 to the lower left corner, closely follows the composition of a copperplate engraving made in 1555 by the German artist Heinrich Aldegrever (Bartsch 14).
Mounted on a flat wooden panel. Minimal wear. 14 x 8 x 3 cm.
