A Limoges enamelled copper panel depicting Joan of Arc, after 1612

This depiction of the armoured Joan of Arc on horseback appears to follow a copperplate engraving created by Léonhard Gaultier as an illustration to Jean Hordal's book "Heroinae nobilissimae Ioannae Darc Lotharingae vulgo Aurelianensis Puellae Historia", which was published in 1612 by Melchior Bernard in Pont-à-Mousson.
Minimal wear and scratches. Mounted in a wooden frame under glass. 17 x 12.3 cm.
