Flattened to the reverse, with original polychromy. Twenty-one figures from the fourty-two figure series first modelled in 1822. Alongside the Fall of Man with Adam and Eve and the House of Bones, this series also includes the figures of death dancing with the pope, the emperor, the empress, a cardinal, a duke, duchess, knight, councillor, canon, doctor, cripple, youth, piper, executioner, chandler, jew, heathen man, heathen woman, and peasant. The plinths bear glued on paper inscriptions with the accompanying texts.
