A Sinotibetan gilt bronze figure of Buddha Vairocana. 18th/19th century

Seated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus base with his hands held in a teaching gesture (dharmacakra mudra), the hems of his robes incised with a foliate pattern and the ushnisha topped by a small flame. Base sealed and incised with a double-vajra.
