Enamelled snuff box commemorating the Peace of Hubertusburg

Copper box decorated with painted and relief enamel on Prussian blue ground. The domed lid decorated with the crowned star of the Black Eagle encompassing a portrait of the King in profile framed by thirteen wreaths inscribed with the battles of the Seven Years' War. The sides decorated with trophies, the inside of the lid with a monument inscribed "Auf des aller größten Königs Friedrichs Edlen Frieden 15.Feb. 1763." Wear to the relief decor, cracks. 4 cm x 8.6 cm x 6.6 cm.
