A silver communion jug

Engraved a reserve inscribed "REGINA HAMPELIN / ANNA ROSINA HAMPELIN" and dated 1742, an Agnus Dei depiction to the lid. H 17.5 cm, weight 518 g.
Presumably Silesian, ca. 1740.

The donor inscription of this piece is thought to refer to the wife of the sculptor Johann Christoph Hampel, Anna Rosina Hampelin. Her name is also found on the base of a column with a statue of the Virgin in the Silesian town of Frankenstein.
