A winter silk embroidered and fur-lined nine-dragon robe (jifu). 19th century

A winter silk embroidered and fur-lined nine-dragon robe (jifu), buttoned sideways, displaying nine dragon roundels amidst lingzhi clouds, shou medaillons, bats and the emblems of the Eight Immortals in silk embroidery and couched gold-wrapped paper threads, at the lower border a rock and emblems swimming on waves above lishui and running dragons above waves on the collar and sleeve borders. Lined with racoon fur (very brittle). 19th century.
